Day 62- Many Thanks

Day 62- Many Thanks

Hey Ya'll,
Levi and I really enjoyed the hotel stay in Parsons, especially when I heard the crazy storm outside during the night. We snacked on coffee and granola bars in the morning while writing a bit on the website and our journals. The night before I kinda had an epiphany about a career. I'm thinking occupational therapy is for me! So that was exciting.
We left the hotel and before even going a block we met Rhonda who is a teacher and also writes for the local paper. She asked us a few questions, took our picture, and then took us to the Chinese food buffet right there and bought us lunch! Thanks Rhonda! So, by the time we left Parsons it was noon, a late start indeed. Luckily, the weather was so much cooler than days prior, so we were still able to get good mileage in. Plus, I had my mind occupied with plans on how to do everything for being an O.T.
The walk was nice and easy on the roads, because the construction left full lanes for us to walk in. They also left port a pottys, so I took advantage of that! We got a drink at probably the nicest little gas station we have seen thus far. We also passed a market and stopped to check it out. It was so nice in there! Quality items like milk in glass bottles, nuts in bins, REAL cheese! We got a snack and then walked the couple more miles to Lexington. We found an easy and hidden camp spot behind a florist shop and went for some dinner at a Mexican food restaurant. It was there where I really got an overwhelming feeling of greatfulneass and for how fortunate I am. That I am traveling, that I am healthy that I have so many loved ones. There were a few tears of happiness shed at dinner.  Thanks again to all those who have helped us through this journey!
Love,
Shikita
