Day 86- Oklahoma

Day 86- Oklahoma

Howdy,

We tried to get a bit of an earlier start this day, so we set an alarm (rare). As we were leaving the house, we realized that we forgot to grab the phone for pictures. Levi threw out his back a little running back which was no bueno. But, he felt okay enough to keep going. It was nice walkign without any packs for another day. Since we drove a lot of our route the day before, we knew what to expect. There were many businesses and restaurants along the way. Levi and I decided to do a lot of snacking. First, we stopped at Panera to get another bagel. I love bagels and it is hard to get them out here for some reason. We grabbed a donut at a small donut shop. Then a coffee at the local coffee shop called Sweet Bay. When we were close to crossing the bridge into Oklahoma we got a call from Stacy, the guy who was writing about us in the paper. We decided to eat at a Mexican Restaurant, and he met us there to get a few more questions and to get a picture.

We went across the Garrison bridge to get over the Arkansas river and made it into Oklahoma, our 9th state. It felt great! We walked a few more miles before getting picked up by James. He dove us back to their house, and then we said bye to him, because he was headed to Missouri to pick up their daughter, Ember. Levi and I hung out, played on the computer, and watched a Fire Ant documentary while we waited for De Anna to get off work. Then she took us to Rolandos which was a really excellent Ecuadorian food place. It was very fresh and unique and delicious!

By the time we got back I was exhausted, and I knew we were getting up early the next morning. Bedtime it was for the last night in the Vitale house.

Moving Along,

Shikira
