Day 98- Out of the City

Day 98- Out of the City

Howdy,

Well, the rain passed and it was beautiful outside. I got one more shower in, a tasty breakfast at the hotel, and then we were on our way for the second attempt out of the city. We walked through bricktown on our way out, and when we saw Zio's again, I said we better get our fill and go once more. The second time was just as delicious as the first time. After eating we walked through downtown and on towards Yukon. Even in the areas of the city that had vacant stores and buildings, it was still really clean. We stopped at a gas station to use the restroom and finally cashed in our $7 winning lotto ticket that was given to us. We decided to get 7 of the same tickets with the money. We played until we won $18! Good deal :)

We went through some rough areas, but nothing too terrible. Stopped at a sonic during happy hour to get a half price drink and met Scott and Lynne who chatted with us for a bit. We finally made it out of OKC towards the end of the day and into Yukon. I was a little nervous about finding a camp spot before dark, because I didn't know if we would make it out of town. As always, however, we were able to make do and cut into a bit of woods towards the edge of town. As we set up we heard a party with some music playing in the distance. It was quite enjoyable, actually. The tent was still all soaked since it had been packed up in the rain, so we left all our gear outside. Still, I slept well.

Moving along,

Shikira
