Day 172- Jacuzzi

Day 172- Jacuzzi

Howdy,

I woke up first that morning. I let Ally and Levi sleep until they woke up and then I attempted to make oatmeal, but it was not the instant stuff I was used to. I swear that it was double the water to oats, but I was terribly wrong and the result was watery oatmeal. After we ate we packed up our stuff and got ready for the day ahead. I had been used to sleeping in a bed for a week, so sleeping on the ground was a little hard. All the congestion went to my head, and I woke up feeling pretty terrible. We made it to a rest area off of I-10 to use the restroom and fill our water supply. We also looked up the mileage to my Aunt and Uncle Rosas's house and it was much farther than we had hoped.

The terrain was more up and down than expected since we were headed into a valley. My energy level was slim, but I felt better after each time I snacked. Finally, after about 16 miles, we made it into Coachella Valley. We had a real meal on our brain since the morning, so we settled on Carl's Jr., the closest to us. By that time it was fourish, so it was going to get dark soon. Auntie Nay was coming to get Ally, but Levi and I thought we would walk a while longer, possibly even the eight miles to the Rosas house. Well, once she got there we decided to call it a night and caught a ride over.

We arrived at their house and Uncle Jose was getting the BBQ ready. We took showers and hung out, wathing the Oregon Kansas State Game while they prepared a delicious dinner. After we ate we got in the Jacuzzi, and it was just what I needed to make me feel better. Before I knew it I was pooped and needed to get myself to bed. I wrote a couple days in my journal and then turned out the lights.

Love being with the family,

Shikira
