Day 178- A Nice Hotel

Day 178- A Nice Hotel

Howdy,

Day 178 started with a delicious breakfast, thanks to Salayha. She went above and beyond to make sure we left full and with a snack for the road. We packed our bags and left the house. Salayha dropped us off at the mall where she had picked us up and we said our thanks and goodbyes.

The beginning of the day we walked past several chain stores and restaurants. We had made it through any rough areas by that time and we were walking on sidewalks for much of the day. After an hour or so we enjoyed our breakfast burriots Salayha had sent us with. We were also stopped by a man who gave us ten dollars and said lunch was on him-very nice! We stopped midday for a break in a park. Levi chatted with his mom and we also put our engagement on facebook. It is funny, the whole "facebook official" thing. We had let immediate family and some friends know right away,  but facebook is a good way to let everyone know I suppose lol. It was fun to see all the activity on our posting!

For lunch, we stopped at a Little Ceasar's type Pizza place and grabbed a $5 pepperoni pizza. It was quite delicious, actually. We had discussed the possiblity of a hotel a few times. We knew it was probably necessary since we were in densely populated areas of town. The options were very limited in San Dimas, however. Plus, we wanted one that had continental breakfast and a computer to add website days (we were a ways behind). We ended up finding an all-suites hotel and paying a little bit more than we usually do. It was a great treat for ourselves! The nicest hotel we had stayed at the whole trip and our last hotel. Plus, they had complimentary cocktails for two hours in the bar! So, we checked in and went downstairs for a couple cocktails at five and went over some wedding stuff. We wrote some days on the website, watched some tv and slept great!

So close to finishing,

Shikira
