In the Beginning

In the Beginning

Hey Friends,

Just wanted to give you a brief outline of what steps I have taken to get to this point (i.e. some gear and a website).

Before I knew I was going to walk across America I started getting rid of all my possesions. I then became very aware of what I was buying, and tended towards the most pragmatic items. I was leading a seminomadic life (hopping from house to house) and thus the most pragmatic items for me were quality backpacking items. As I found myself investing more and more in this nomadic lifestyle I realized just how much I was enjoying it.

Next came the idea for the walk. It was perfect, I would graduate and walk across america; taking my nomadic lifestyle to a new extreme.

Fortunately, I was able to convince my girlfriend to joining me. At this point the trip became "ours" instead of "mine," and this made me ecstatic. However, all my plans were for one and she did not have the gear needed to join me.

In comes the website, I hope that the site will draw attention to the unfolding adventure and earn us some money (for food), while providing informations to those who are interested (both for pleasure and for those  who are looking at taking a similar jouney).

Goodness Grasciousness,

Levi Stiles
